6.3.1941 - D/S KASTELHOLM, from Liinahamari bound for South-America with paper and cellulose cargo in psn 63.08N/11.18W explosion port side in holds 1 and 2, later another explosion. One explanation says the ship was sunk by british mine. The other history claims that the ship was torpedoed and sunk on 6th June by the German submarine maybe U-559 or some other. Deckboy Alf Öster from Närpiö was killed. The other crew were rescued by British trawler NORTHERN REWARD.
