  "Dekorert for spesielle bragder", Tønsbergs Blad, 11. mai 1989, s. 5: "Phillip Henry Solberg fikk Krigsmedaljen post mortem for aktivt å ha deltatt i Den annen verdenskrig og falt for Norges sak under tjeneste som maskinist på hvalkokeriet "Svend Foyn" da skipet krigsforliste i 1943. Avdødes sønn Knut Solberg tok imot medaljen".
