  Sjømannen vitnet ved sjøforklaring holdt den 3. april 1917, satt ved det kgl. Norske generalkonsulat i Rotterdam, etter at DS LISBETH ble skutt i senk av tysk ubåt UB-23, NV av Maas fyrskip på reise fra Rotterdam til Swansea i ballast. Alle reddet.
