     Good day. In the Dutch National Archive I found de fate of brig 17de Mai; It was lost on the Dutch west coast on 23-10-1869 near Wijk aan Zee. Papers of the lost ship are founded on the beach. Here a article from the fate of the Ship from newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant d.d. 25-10-1869. Sincerely Arie de Lange
