  Var med i kampene i Nord-Norge som radiotelegrafist. Gikk senere i kystfart som 2. styrmann og radiotelegrafist. Omkom da D/S ELSE MARIE ble bombet i senk av russiske fly vest for Vardø 7. juli 1942.
