  Gift 2.mai 1880 i Grimstad med Nicoline Martine, født 9.nov 1850 i Eide sogn, datter av skipper Nicolai Martinius Nielsen Foss fra Løkken i Danmark og hustru Wilhelmine Sophie Mathiasdtr, Homborgøe.
  I 1899 flttet Magnus og Nicoline fra Grimstad til Kristiania. 
  De hadde 3.døtre. Ved FT 1910 bodde familien i Toftes gate 32.
