Fled from a ship near the Swedish coast in October 1942. Came to Sweden, Stockholm. "Here he saw an official in the Naval Attache's department who asked him if he wished to go to England and gave him to understand that he would join the Norwegian Navy. He accepted this offer and after his papers were put in order he left by air on the 5.3.43."
