    "He last visited the U.K. on 24.1.40 aboard the s.s. "Korvus" and has a stamp in his passport which confirms this fact. [...] His vessel returned to Norway and KVALSUND joined his wife at their home in Bergen. On 9.4.40 he was in the process of moving to a new house which he was having built at Ørstavik and remained there throughout the invasion. [...] He had already done military service at Gumkøy in 1928, but states that he was not called up and was unable to contact the forces.

    Shortly after the capitulation KVALSUND joined his brothers aboard the m.v. "Storegg I" and has fished with her off the Norwegian coast ever since."

    "Arrived U.K. July 1943." [...] "Storegg I" had been apprehended by British m.t. boats within the Norwegian fishing zone on 20.7.43."
