    Matros på M/S LIDVARD. Internert i Dakar. Rømte i livbåt den 22. juni 1941. Tredje pulje.

    I U.S. Army fra 11.8.1942 til 16.11.1945. For dette ble han tildelt Purple Heart og Good Conduct Medal.
    Bosatte seg først i Brooklyn hvor han giftet seg i 1950.
    Flyttet tilbake til Norge etter han ble enkemann.

    "Served 34 months overseas in Australia, New Guinea, Leyte, and Luzon as a rifleman. Loaded, aimed, and fired rifle (M-1's) at enemy personnel. Disassembled, cleaned, oiled, and repaired or replaced worn parts. Was familiar with the use of machine guns and hand grenades. Assisted in capturing enemy positions and personnel."

    "Worked 8 years for the Kloster's Company (1933-1941) of Oslo, Norway as an able seaman performing all duties required in deck service; spliced rope, handled life boats, took depth soundings and assisted in steering vessel. Held Norwegian Able Bodied Seaman's Certificate. Was experienced in painting and rigging. Mixed own paints. Was able to make all cable hitches and do cable splicing."
