Fra bekreftelse utstedt av The Norwegian Consulate General in London 4. januar 1918: "This is to certify, that Aksel Aase Akselsen was serving on board the Norwegian steamer "Ingrid 2" of Christiania in the capacity of Steward, when the ship was torpedoed in the Bristol Channel on the 19th December 1917.
