"A 14 years old Hull boy who joined the merchant navy as a galley boy last December has been reported lost at sea. He is Michael Goulden, eldest son of Mr and Mrs M. Goulden, of 96, Francis street, Hull. He was educated at Pryme street school, Hull, and spent six months at the Nautical School, Scarborough, before going to sea".
