  Sjømannen vitnet ved sjøforklaring holdt den 3. april 1917, ved generalkonsulatet i Bilbao, etter at DS FARMAND ble senket den 31/3.1917, av tysk ubåt UC 69 i pos. 6 n.m. av Punta Galea på reise Cardiff til Lisboa med kull.
